Award-winning printing sector company Anilox Laser Technology (ALT), a major supplier for the coating, engraving and printing of everyday products such as drinks cans, plastic bags and food packaging has invested in the future of the business with a new plasma spray facility and blast facility. This allows ALT to bring every stage of the process in house, from beginning to the end, completing the jigsaw for the business and allowing it to grow.

The new technology follows a period of increased demand and growth, as well as a need to bring parts of the process in-house with the biggest investment yet completing all stages of production. To acquire this finance was required for the business started by Anthony Jewell back in 2011, with the support of Johnson Reed.

After having been introduced to Johnson Reed back in 2011, Anthony and ALT have continued to work with us ever since, having had no support from banks and managed to start the business from scratch through  securing equipment finance with Johnson Reed.

“Following a period of growth we required the support of Mark for our biggest piece of equipment yet, for our biggest expansion yet. I was introduced to Mark back in 2011 and he has always been there to help us, so it was an easy choice this time. From beginning to expansion to now, Mark gave us the opportunity to get off the ground and has been involved at every stage when we wanted to progress, he was the only person who pleaded our case, making the process quick and easy, when banks weren’t interested, and that’s why we keep coming back. We trust Mark and the team at Johnson Reed to be reliable and get the job done, and that is what you want.”

“We’ve worked with Anthony from the very beginning and it has been a pleasure to help him grow his business, supporting and working for him when he needed and wanted to expand due to increased demands, which is testament to the work they do at ALT. The service they provide is next to none and that explains why this period of growth has happened, and we will continue to support them with their finance requirements at every stage, as and when they need it.”

An exciting nine years for ALT and Anthony, from building the business to expanding to the size it is now, they have even been won an award, as Barclays have recently awarded Anilox Laser Technology with the award of International Expansion of the year Regional Winner for 2020 in the Business Entrepreneur Awards category, which will now be followed by an entry into the national awards in November 2020.
