It pays to be proactive in business. So split that word up and you get the key ingredients for a new wellness centre. ‘Pro’ for the two professionals that are setting up a new gym in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. And ‘Active’ for a fair description of the fitness facilities that are being incorporated into the new venture.
Chris Patch and Mark Thompson have a joint thirty years of leisure club management experience behind them. They’re now applying their expertise to a new-start gym and personal training centre on the main commuter route between London and Brighton, an area that they reckon is crying out for a cost-effective, no frills leisure facility.
That’s how the Pro Active Wellness Centre was born – with a little help from Johnson Reed. We helped Chris and Mark with gym kit finance for purchasing some new, top of the range CV and resistance equipment. This will prove to their customers that they mean business, which is important when you’re targeting a mid-range market in an affluent commuter belt like Haywards Heath, that could boost membership from 1,200 to start with, rapidly rising to around 1,800. They know that, by using Johnson Reed, they can afford the best equipment available – purchased from Matrix Fitness, a well established worldwide distributor of gym kit – and by paying as they go, their cash flow can be eased while they increase their profitability. Work is nearly complete. Kit is installed. And it’ll be all systems go by the end of August.
