In June 2013, partners Cherell & Robert Humphries took over an existing Soft Play business. The business itself was failing, however the Humphries managed to turn it around and make it successful. The soft play centre is called Wackadayz.
Since their purchase, Cherell and Robert have only ever invested their own cash to develop the business, and no previous finance had been obtained.
Since then, Cherell has wanted to upgrade the children’s play equipment to bring in more customers and rejuvenate the site. That’s when she was referred to us by a friend, and we are delighted to say we have been able to provide the partners with the soft play equipment finance they needed.
Johnson Reed, with the help of the vastly-experienced outfitter and Doncaster-based King of the Castle, we put together a lease of over 3 years with only personal guarantees required to secure the deal.
Now with all the equipment they needed, rather than wating for available cash, Wackadayz can complete its expansion without worrying about growing pains.
Cherell told us:
When I first conceived the idea of Wackadayz, I had already had a design drawn up but not the finances. A fellow play center owner put me in touch with Johnson Reed. I had a very in depth conversation with them and felt they really listened to my idea and agreed to look into helping me. Within an hour I received a phone call to say they would be happy to make my dream a reality! I was very impressed with their attention to detail and their extremely good customer services, I was kept informed at every step of the process with daily and at times several-times-a-day updates. They even dealt with the supplier directly which lightened the workload for me. I was most impressed at how quickly and easily they made the process, which exceptional aftercare. I now have a fantastic extension to my under-fours area and a brand new non-walkers area which has increased my customers immensely. Thank you I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them for my next project.
