Macclesfield-based commercial printers, Spiral Colour, have got a lot on their plate. Serving the UK and beyond, their clients include the likes of the NHS, Microsoft, M&S, Sainsburys, Cheshire East Council, Intu and Peel Group. The team were in need of a new system to help them meet increasing demand, and effectively systemise projects and costings.
Spiral Colour were previously using a cloud- based management information system (MIS) that was operating on estimations only. The old system was unreliable, with the team of four estimators losing up to 30 minutes per day in downtime. The Tharstern software provides Spiral Colour with a more integrated system that works alongside Sage to integrate the ecommerce.
“It helps us to create specification sheets, invoices and talk to Sage. Our ecommerce services are compatible with the sales system so we can track jobs at any time; whether they’ve been manually inputted or brought in online.” Business and Marketing Manager of Spiral Colour, Jamie Brelsford, tells us, “It also reports back data so we can analyse where our strengths and weaknesses are, and we can then use that to identify areas to improve on.”
Not all asset finance companies will fund software licences due their lack of residual value, but as part of our Quirky Kit Finance, we love to break the mould. The benefits the MIS system has bought Spiral Colour are invaluable, making it a no-brainer! Leasing the software with Johnson Reed has enabled the company to quickly increase their productivity and streamline their day-to-day processes.
He said of the deal, “Everything has gone through really quickly and efficiently with Jamie. We’re now on target to meet the deadline we set, so it’s gone absolutely brilliantly from start to finish.”
