Global specialist finance company, Falcon Group, provide both mid-cap companies and large corporations with tailored and flexible finance options to enhance growth. Historically active in the Middle East and Asia, the privately-owned company has recently expanded its client base around the globe, including Australia, Hong Kong and Africa.
Their London team recently relocated to a new office space on Lombard Street. The Grade II listed venue was previously dilapidated and has undergone a significant restoration. The six-storey building now serves as office space; home to Falcon Group’s London team and their newly-installed corporate gym.
As a progressive company with employee wellbeing at the core of their successful operation, providing a top of the range fitness facility for staff was high on the agenda. Falcon Group approached Elaine Coulthard, an experienced fitness industry consultant, to ensure the gym reflected the needs of employees and integrated seamlessly with the building’s original art deco character and contemporary fit out.
Having opened over 80 clubs worldwide, more than half of which with Fitness Systems of Bolton, the choice of supplier was obvious for Elaine; “Fitness Systems are always my first choice of supplier, as I know I will be guaranteed a great service. No matter how big the facility I am working with, they always ensure a smooth installation and share my high standards and expectations.”
Working with the right partners is essential to ensure each project is completed to the best of its ability, and Elaine also introduced the services of trusted partner, Johnson Reed Fitness Finance, to ensure there was no financial barrier between Falcon Group and their desired gym facility.
Elaine commented, “I can truthfully say that I refer all my clients to Johnson Reed for three main reasons; the sensible financial choice to lease, the efficiency of Johnson Reed in terms of no fuss, the short timeline and simple instructions, and most importantly, the JR team are second to none! Everyone has a professional, yet friendly approach, and however large or small the transaction, they make my clients feel special.”
Elaine envisioned an open-environment with a diverse range of equipment to cater to every demographic and type of training. Unlike the segregated layout found with many gym and fitness spaces, Falcon were keen to integrate the different types of equipment to create designated areas for training routines and classes. Optimising the limited space was also a key consideration; providing enough equipment and variety without over-crowding the facility.
The use of True Fitness cardio was key, intelligent engineering ensures maximum durability and a more economical product, whilst its small footprint helped to make the most of the limited floorspace. The gym was also kitted out with Fitness Systems’ own brand of Force strength equipment, a brand that has been used throughout the UK for nearly 30 years. The carefully-selected equipment offers users a comprehensive fitness experience and a full body workout!
The cardio and strength equipment were acquired through a lease agreement with Johnson Reed, who worked closely with all parties to ensure a seamless process in conjunction with tight deadlines. By opting to lease, Falcon were able to purchase their desired equipment from Fitness Systems without affecting vital cash reserves during their busy relocation period. The agreement minimised the upfront cost, and spreads the remainder over tax-efficient fixed repayments.
