The iconic Spirella Building in Letchworth is host to lifestyle centre and gym, Pride Fitness. Established in 2011 by current Director, Dominic Shepherd, the business offers a scientifically-backed exercise rehabilitation service for clients, alongside a well-equipped fitness facility and a varied class timetable.

Operations Director, Dave Sanders, and General Manager, Craig Worley, began working with Pride Gymnasium in 2013 to apply experience gained from their 25 years in the industry and drive the business forward to meet its full potential. Their membership has grown consistently since, more than tripling to its current base of 1200. Yet, with a growing membership comes growing demand for staff and equipment.

The popular facility has undergone a huge £250K refurbishment in 2016, and now boasts one of the best-equipped gyms in North Hertfordshire! Property developer, Alasdair Carpenter, has recently joined the business with a view to expand Pride Fitness and open further sites.
Dave and the team approached Johnson Reed for help financing the entire range of new gym kit to replace the five-year-old equipment Pride Fitness originally opened with. The gym now boasts a wide array of cardiovascular equipment, weight machines, free weights and functional training equipment.

The lease agreement arranged by Jamie at Johnson Reed allowed Pride Fitness to gain immediate access to the state-of-the-art equipment they required, and spread the cost over fixed repayments throughout its working life. This format meant Pride Fitness were able to break even on their investment almost immediately, whilst attracting yet more valued members to their new and improved facility.
