Hereford-based chippy, Edwards’ Plaice, was an entirely new venture for the busy Edwards family, who also manage neighbouring beauty salon, Salon 100, and cattery, Feline Friendly.
Their exceptional reputation makes them to go-to family for any business endeavour, “The residents in the local area were asking us to open some sort of food establishment or takeaway, as there’s no others in the immediate area. What better than a traditional fish and chip shop?” said Curt, who co-owns the shop with brother, Joel, and dad, Clive.
The shop opened towards the end of January, and just seven weeks later, the Edwards family were thrilled to be voted as the second best chippy in Herefordshire in a survey conducted by the Hereford Times.
The incredible success sees Edwards Plaice looking to expand already, “We are keen to open more sites in the near future. We’re looking for sites all the time, but just waiting for the right premises.”
