Quality lies at the heart of their successful operation and the team endeavour to deliver a truly premium product as a direct extension of their client’s brand. The company boast many high-profile local and national clients amongst their large customer base, including Nutella, JD Sports, Manchester Metropolitan University and Ralph Lauren.

Offering in-house pre-press, digital, large format and UV printing, New Leaf continually invest in the latest print technology to ensure they deliver the highest possible quality.

However, in recent years the company’s behind-the-scenes IT had taken a backseat. The team were previously operating with a 12-year-old server, which was no longer communicating effectively with their other IT and becoming counter-productive to the business.

In need of an upgrade, New Leaf Press approached Conformedia Systems, IT providers to the print and media industries for over 15 years, to explore new server solutions.

Technical account manager, Richard, worked closely with Frank and Phil to understand their requirements, and crafted a clear and simple file server that would fully integrate with their existing programmes. In addition, the new server allows multiple virtual machines to be hosted from one single piece of hardware, making for a more economic set-up.

New Leaf Press were introduced to James at Johnson Reed, who arranged for the new server and hardware to be purchased through a lease. This allowed the company to commission work on the new server, and spread the cost over a series of smaller tax-efficient repayments. This, paired with the savings from the new server set-up, means New Leaf will break-even on their investment much sooner, whilst enjoying a smoother, more-efficient operation.

Frank commented, “It has been a pleasure working with James and the rest of the team at Johnson Reed. They have been a great help throughout the project and I would certainly have no hesitation using them again in any of our future projects.”
