Partyman World of Play continues to expand his empire
James Sinclair’s dreams were kindled when he was just 15, after observing a less-than-inspiring children’s entertainer at his younger sister’s birthday party, and knowing that he, the ‘kid who liked to show off’, could easily better the performance. His desire to perform was ignited, and Jimbo the Partyman was born. His adventures so far have resulted in a multi-million-pound turnover and over a million happy guests at his various sites each year - a figure that is constantly growing. Alongside the aforementioned achievements, he is a highly-coveted speaker, author of life story, ‘The Millionaire Clown’ and founder of Partyman’s Little Stars; a charity that dedicates 100% of its funds to creating magical memories for children that have had a really tough time.
Everybody Sport & Recreation and Cheshire East Council: The Best of Both Worlds
As part of a large CEC modernisation programme taking place, facilities at Crewe and Holmes Chapel were the first of the 15 sites to undergo transformation. Crewe Lifestyle Centre combined several existing and services across the area, as well as children’s services, adult day care services, the library and workspace for council employees, all under one roof. The development under Everybody has also allowed for a café facility to be introduced at the site, introducing additional forms of revenue and creating jobs for five more individuals.

Commercial Kitchen Show 2016
This week saw the very first trade expo specifically dedicated to the commercial kitchen industry; The Commercial Kitchen Show, supported by CEDA. The brilliant new event was hosted at Birmingham’s NEC, attracting 80 different exhibitors and hundreds of visitors. We sent Mark, Ian and David along to see what all the fuss was about… The event had an incredible seminar programme, kicking off on Tuesday morning with an incredible panel of industry experts, discussing the real factors responsible for driving up the costs of the kitchen, and offering best practice tips to combat the hidden expense. The debate was followed by seminars from a range of different roles within the sector, including speakers Clare Nicholls (Editor of Catering Insight), Matt Rowlands (Director at CEDA), Peter Woods (Exec Head Chef of London’s Corinthia) and many, many more.
5 Minutes with Funtazia
Funtazia Soft Play Ltd. opened this March in Blackburn, Lancashire. The site offers a fun, safe and educational environment for children to play, giving parents the rare opportunity to relax in the adjoining cafeteria. We caught up with Managing Director, Helen Sproates, to discuss the industry, alternative finance options and why on earth nobody has yet attempted an adult soft play site... You’ve been open for a couple of months now. How are you getting on? So far we’ve had an incredible 47,000 visitors. It’s completely packed- we’re exhausted! But what a good problem to have. We’ve also had lots of children’s parties, and we’ve got plenty more lined up.

The venue is also known as the home of English football- another fantastic talking point for attendees.
Just what the doctor ordered…
All Cures are one of the nation’s leading retail pharmacies in the UK, owned by the busy Cheema family. Established back in 1981, the chain has a total of 13 branches across Essex and North London. Their online shop was launched in 1999, serving patients of both NHS and private health care. In the competitive pharmacy industry, accuracy and efficiency are vital, which is why IT infrastructure is so important to business. Through a software leasing agreement and simple paperwork, All Cures were able to get the funding they needed to upgrade and replace their old system.
